Our Favorite Raleigh/Durham Filming Locations
Our team at Press Record Media has filmed all over the country telling customer and company stories. We love getting to shoot in some of the most beautiful places out there, but we've got a soft spot for our home base, the Raleigh/Durham metro area.
If you've been following the news, or just driven around downtown Raleigh, Durham, or the Research Triangle Park, you've seen how fast our area is growing. It's a great time to be here, with new places and new stories to film seemingly every day.
We wanted to pause and look back at some of our favorite filming locations from projects we've shot here in the Triangle.
HubRTP - Research Triangle Park
One of our recent films covered the "topping out ceremony" for Research Triangle Park's new development, HubRTP. Topping out is when the last beam goes into place in a building's structure. The crew gets to sign the beam and mark the progress they've made.
For us and the Research Triangle Foundation, it was a chance to look back at how this development took shape and look ahead to what RTP will become. The hope is HubRTP becomes a real place to live, work, and play in the Triangle, just minutes from RDU.
We were genuinely excited about how the film turned out, and we got to use old VHS footage RTP shot back in the 80s.

Compass Realty Office - Crabtree
A fun project we worked on with Compass Realty was a full drone walkthrough of their new office in the Crabtree area of Northwest Raleigh. Ryan, one of our owners and our in-house drone pilot, captured the whole space in one take. Most of our drone work happens outdoors, so it was a fun challenge to shoot this one inside.
Carolina Hurricanes - PNC Arena
We've got some real hockey fans on our team, so working with the Carolina Hurricanes was a dream project. We flew our FPV (first person view) drone through PNC Arena to capture footage that ended up on the jumbotron during the playoffs.
You can find the video here.
And here's a video of our footage playing during one of the games.
Hockey fandom keeps growing in the Triangle, and we'll keep cheering on our local team.
Rush Hour Karting - Morrisville
Our team wanted a fun outing to celebrate wrapping a few projects. Rush Hour Karting had just opened a new location in Morrisville with a two-story track and fast electric go-karts.
We filmed almost a full day there and got to enjoy the go-karts, axe throwing, and genuinely great food Rush Hour had to offer.
